A Two-Day Training for Medical Educators in Ukraine.
On April 26–27, the Klats Education team, in partnership with the ЗMIN Foundation, held the first offline Teaching Health Forward training for medical educators from across Ukraine. The event marked a vibrant beginning of a major initiative aimed at shaping a new standard of teaching in medical education.
The slogan “Teaching the Medicine of the Future” became more than just a phrase — it served as the guiding idea of the training, which brought together 19 educators from various medical universities across the country, selected through a competitive application process. The selection focused on educators with strong leadership qualities and innovative visions for their professional practice.
The main goal of the training was to build an active community of educators who are ready not only to improve their own teaching methods but also to inspire colleagues and contribute to a new educational culture in medicine. Participants had the opportunity to enhance their teaching competencies, gain tools for effective communication and time management, and explore the fundamentals of project management.

We sincerely thank the program’s speakers for their openness, expertise, and the heartfelt way they shared their knowledge and experience with our community of educators.

Day One
Education at the Intersection of Science and Innovation

The training program was divided into two days.
On the first day, participants had the opportunity to explore modern teaching approaches tailored to today’s generation in a session led by Dr. Olena Hurzhii — an ophthalmologist and the head of the VIZIUM Academy. Since 2015, she has been actively working at the intersection of medicine and education.

Anna Tsyatsko — a communications expert with over 12 years of experience in creative agencies, the public sector, business, and civil society — spoke about how to connect with diverse audiences and why the ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently is essential.

Dr. Viktor Dosenko — a pathophysiologist, head of the Development and Innovation Department at CSD LAB, renowned researcher, author, and science communicator — held an open conversation with participants about medical education. In an interactive discussion format, they explored the themes of revolution and evolution in the field, laying a profound philosophical foundation for further reflection.

The first event within the Teaching Health Forward initiative laid a strong foundation for dedicated medical educators who strive not just to teach, but who fully embrace their responsibility in shaping the future of Ukrainian medicine. We sincerely thank all participants and speakers for their trust, inspiration, and shared belief that change is possible — when there are those willing to lead it.
